NCIS Software

NCIS is the engine that powers the Navi-Call Emergency Call System.  This feature-rich application utilizes Windows Services and is available in a choice of two server options (one UL listed and one non-UL listed).  NCIS options allow facilities to completely customize their systems. The platform utilizes a SQL database and offers a robust reporting package. NCIS is compatible with many other systems and notification devices, leveraging a facility’s existing investment.

Resident Station

The station, typically used in senior care apartments and independent living facilities, is activated when a resident presses the Help button. The request is dispatched to on-site staff or a 24-hour central station, depending on the system set-up. If enabled, the “hidden” Staff Assist button provides caregivers immediate assistance without having to leave the resident’s bedside. Pressing the Cancel button clears the alarm from the system. The station has an anti-microbial coated surface and a tilted face for easy viewing.

Auxiliary Alarm Interface

Used primarily in skilled nursing facilities, the wireless device is mounted on a bed’s headboard, chair or wheelchair and connects to any type of fall or other alarming device. Staff is notified when the alarming device is activated. After the alarming device is cleared, pressing the Cancel button clears the alarm from the system.

Resident Station with Call Cord

This station, typically used in skilled nursing facilities, is activated by a resident pressing the button on the attached call cord, or by pushing the Help button. The “hidden” Staff Assist button provides caregivers immediate assistance without leaving the resident’s bedside. Pressing the Cancel button clears the alarm from the system. The station has an anti-microbial coated surface and a tilted face for easy viewing.

Task Reminder Station – Navi-Call Exclusive

Used in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities, the station is mounted inside the door of a resident’s room and features five unique task buttons that can be custom labeled for each resident. When staff pushes one or more of the buttons, NCIS logs it and reminds staff to perform that particular task at predetermined times.

Resident Dual Call Cord Station

Used primarily in skilled nursing facilities, it is activated by either resident pressing the button on one of the two attached call cords. Neighborhood Displays are strategically placed in the facility to allow staff to easily view active resident calls and their priorities. Multiple options allow it to visually display any number of active calls at a time, scroll like a marquee, show calls in list view and more.

Resident Call Cord Station with Auxiliary Jack

SmartMessenger™

Navi-Call’s exclusive SmartMessenger securely delivers time-sensitive resident alarm notifications to inexpensive mobile devices via the SmartMessenger app. On-board messaging also allow the care team to effectively communicate wherever they are, speeding response times and optimizing senior care facilities’ WiFi and smartphone investments.

Shower Station

Used in all levels of senior care near residents’ showers or spa rooms, the station is activated by a resident pulling the attached pullcord or pushing the Help button. Duty Station

Used primarily in skilled nursing facilities to provide a visual and audible annunciation of calls within certain duty areas stations, stations are placed in utility rooms, meds rooms and other places where staff congregate. Stations can differentiate between four different levels of call priorities. The station has an anti-microbial coated surface and a tilted face for easy viewing.

Staff Station

Typically installed in skilled nursing facilities, these stations are used by staff to request additional assistance or to alert staff of an emergency. Pressing the Cancel button clears the alarm from the system.

Smoke Detector

Installed inside a resident’s apartment, staff is alerted when smoke reaches the alarm threshold for the detector. The smoke detector provides additional safety and security to residents, especially in facilities where the fire alarm system may have been designed without smoke notification devices in resident apartments.

Activity Sensor

This device provides passive notification to the staff of a resident’s well being. NCIS software is customizable to monitor activity whether the resident is an early riser or night owl. Example: if the sensor activates in a resident’s bathroom during a preprogrammed time period, the activity is registered in NCIS, eliminating the need for staff to check on resident status.

Resident Call Cords

Navi-Call offers a variety of resident call cords with quarter-inch jacks. A cord out alarm is sent when any call cord is disconnected from a Navi-Call bed station. A variety of call cords are available in 6’, 8’ and 10’ lengths; some are UL-certified.

Sconce Lights/Dome Lights and Zone Lights

For those facilities requiring visual notification of resident calls, Navi-Call offers a variety of attractive options that can be mounted outside a resident’s room or in a designated to indicate that a resident call is active in a certain zone area. Colors and customizable flash rates differentiate call priority.

Pendants/Wristband/Belt-Clip

Navi-Call offers attractive and waterproof wireless pendants that active residents can wear around their necks, wrists or attached to carabiners. The easy pushbutton request for help is dispatched to on-site staff or a 24-hour central station, depending on the system set-up. Calls can be cancelled via a reset magnet or button press cadence.
